Strain Review: Sundae Driver by High Tide Cannabis

Nov 13, 2018

What happens when an experienced micro-scale organic fruit and vegetable farmer builds a craft cannabis operation?  As far as the produce is concerned, only good things.  Take for instance this Sundae Driver by High Tide Cannabis.

Bred from both Grape Pie and Fruity Pebbles this complex chemovar has quite an interesting flavor profile full of abundant subtle notes with about as much going on as a Neapolitan sundae.  While we wouldn’t go so far as to say it tastes like chocolate fudge-drizzled ice cream with whipped cream and maraschino cherries, its smoke does provide a super creamy feel on the tongue and a long lingering aftertaste of fennel and mint.  The heavy density and prime maturity of trichomes on this lady make it hard for her not to give you a very satisfying mouthful.

The effect is quite delightful with a relaxed focus perfect for lazy crossword puzzles and stress-less sidewalk cruising on quiet mornings.  Fairly introspective, it will have…

Strain Review: Grandma Anderson's Cookies by Lazy Bee Gardens

Oct 17, 2018

Straight away after popping the jar on this Dope Cup runner up for best sun grown indica, I was met with the pleasant aroma of fresh baked cookies and an almost raw cookie dough scent. These notes carry through into the smoke almost entirely and are joined by the addition of a mild lactic or even eggy taste. This was a very tasty puff.

The high was quite relaxing with a touch of the munchies, but not entirely couch locking. Recommended pairing for a relaxing evening. Light hearted reads or television go hand in hand with a snack and Grandma Anderson’s Cookies. Or if meme scrolling to unwind is your jam, this might just be your puff as well.

Strain Review: Ethiopian Banana

Sep 05, 2018

The Ethiopian Banana is a sativa hashplant known for its solid 1:1 thc/cbd dependability when properly harvested.

The nose on this flower was banana for sure, but only for a moment after removing her from the jar. After that the aroma and dry hit of this flower was one of sweetness with an earthy almost grassy flavor often found in classic hashplant cultivars. This all changed upon lighting though, and the sweetness came right up front with a bit of earthy flavor and hints of corriander and anise. There was definitely pinene at play during the inhale and the hashyness of this smoke comes through more in the exhale.

As For the high, it was mildly heady but filled with focus. The body feel is a relaxed one without too much in the way of drowsiness or lethargy. This is a fantastic daytime smoke and would be quite effective for those who experience anxiety when they…
